Terms and Conditions for Solar PV Testing
1. Definitions
1.1 “Service” refers to the testing of solar PV systems using MC4-connected DC test equipment at ground level.
1.2 “Customer” refers to the property owner or authorized representative engaging the testing services.
1.3 “Provider” refers to Everbright Solar Ltd (or the service provider conducting the test).
1.4 “Test Equipment” refers to MC4-compatible DC test equipment used for measuring voltage, current, and other relevant parameters of the solar PV system.
2. Scope of Service
2.1 The test will measure voltage, current, and overall performance of solar PV panels and associated equipment at ground level.
2.2 The service does not include repairs, replacements, or warranty claims unless explicitly agreed upon in a separate agreement.
2.3 Testing is performed only on systems with accessible MC4 connectors. Additional charges may apply for inaccessible systems or extra work required to facilitate testing.
3. Customer Responsibilities
3.1 The Customer must ensure the system is in a safe and accessible condition for testing.
3.2 The Customer must provide any necessary documentation, such as installation manuals, wiring diagrams, or previous test reports.
3.3 The Customer is responsible for securing permission from property owners, if different from the Customer, before testing begins.
4. Solar PV Test Certificate
4.1 The Provider can issue a Solar PV Test Certificate upon completion of testing, at the Customer’s request.
4.2 The Customer must provide the make and model of all tested solar panels to enable the issuance of the certificate.
4.3 Failure to provide accurate or complete panel information may result in delays or the inability to issue the certificate.
4.4 The certificate reflects the test results at the time of testing and does not constitute a guarantee of future performance or compliance with manufacturer warranties.
5. Safety and Liability
5.1 The Provider will follow all safety protocols during testing.
5.2 Testing will be conducted at ground level only. The Provider will not test rooftop systems unless specifically agreed in writing.
5.3 The Provider is not liable for damage to the PV system caused by pre-existing faults, improper installation, or user modifications.
5.4 Any hazards (e.g., damaged MC4 connectors, exposed wiring) discovered during testing will be reported to the Customer and must be rectified before further testing can proceed.
6. Limitations of the Test
6.1 The test results are valid for the condition of the system at the time of testing. The results do not guarantee future performance or durability.
6.2 The test does not include an evaluation of the inverter or battery storage systems unless otherwise specified in the agreement.
7. Fees and Payment
7.1 The service fee will be agreed upon in advance and documented in the Customer’s invoice.
7.2 Additional charges may apply for:
Travel outside the standard service area.
Additional services requested by the Customer during testing.
7.3 Full payment is required within 7 days of invoice issuance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Warranty and Guarantee
8.1 The Provider does not guarantee performance or efficiency of the solar PV system based on test results.
8.2 Any issues arising after testing must be reported within 14 days for review. Subsequent visits may incur additional fees.
9. Data and Reporting
9.1 A detailed report of the test results will be provided to the Customer within 5 business days.
9.2 The Provider may retain anonymized test data for internal analysis and service improvement.
10. Cancellation and Rescheduling
10.1 Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations may incur a fee of 50% of the agreed service charge.
11. Force Majeure
The Provider is not liable for delays or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond their control, such as extreme weather, equipment failure, or access restrictions.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13. Acceptance
By engaging the Provider for solar PV testing services, the Customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
